About the School
Founded: In 1968 by Aril Edvardsen
Moved to Oslo: Autumn 2009
Do you long to go deeper with God, and make a change in this world? No matter what stage you are at in life, we believe that you can build a foundation in your relationship with God and His Word that will last for a lifetime.
“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”
Joshua 1:8
Welcome
John 1:1 says: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
Jesus is the Word of God revealed in the flesh. People who want to live a strong and radical Jesus-life are people of the Word. When the Word of God is taught with power and anointing, it can create and change so much in our lives. First and foremost it will form a God-like character in us, but it also opens up the gifts in our lives and introduces us for the ministry field that God has designed for us.
“What does God have for me?” is probably the most relevant question a Christian can ever ask. At Troens Bevis Bible and Mission Institute you will be exposed to God’s Word in a way that will answer your questions, not only theological questions, but questions concerning your future.
Ministry and practice are key words for the school year, and you will receive plenty of training in a variety of areas. We have two target groups: those who are aware that they have a calling to the five-fold ministry in the Kingdom of God and those who need to be strengthened in their relationship with God and develop their potential with God, as a preparation for further career development and life.

The story
» Troens Bevis Bible and Mission Institute was founded in 1968 by the pioneer, evangelist and missionary Aril Edvardsen (1938-2008).
» About 2000 workers in the Kingdom of God were educated at TBBMI during the first 40 years. Today, several of the former students are involved in fruitful ministries in different parts of the world.
» TBBMI wants to serve the whole body of Christ by equipping workers who are involved in a wide variety of Christian churches and denominations.
» Three months before he died, Aril Edvardsen gave the mission of continuing TBBMI to Stephan and Anne Christiansen. It was then decided that the school would move to Oslo. The move took place in the autumn of 2009.
– I am happy and excited to be able to tell Stephan and Anne Christiansen what Paul told Timothy: “The things that you have heard from me among many witnesses, commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also” (2.Tim 2:2). This will be a new chapter of TBBMI, which will continue with the same vision and in the same spirit.
